Pastor Ruth Rivera
Associate Pastor

Pastor Ruth Rivera joined the New Haven SDA Church as Associate Pastor since January 2016.

Pr. Ruth Rivera comes from a missionary family, which has served in pastoral and community development service, involving her in a longtime ministry of advocacy for missions. Moving around different places such as Colombia, Ecuador, Puerto Rico and the United States kindled her enthusiasm for the Great Commission and her appreciation for different cultures, languages and worldviews.  She loves to think that every person she comes across is also a citizen of heaven.

Pr. Ruth Rivera holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Antillean Adventist University in Puerto Rico. While she enrolled in a Physical Therapy doctoral program, God's call was more urging than many times before. She decided to let go of her own plans to follow God's call. Her postgraduate work includes a Master in Divinity from Andrews University and CPE Unit I from the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education. During her ministerial preparation, Pr. Ruth served for 2 years as Youth and Young Adult Pastor at the Grace Place Church in South Bend, Indiana.

Her greatest joy is the privilege to share the message of hope and salvation in Jesus around the world. She has been blessed to serve in Evangelistic Crusades in Cuba and Texas contributing to the spiritual and emotional well-being of many people. Pr. Ruth seeks to invite men and women and their families to live out an abundant life in a relationship with their Maker.
